Temple of Omnia is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity and religious organization as classified by the IRS.
We welcome donations in support of our religious work and community. Donations may be tax deductible under IRS Section 170. Please contact us for information about the various ways to contribute.
Our Faith
Temple of Omnia is founded on the belief in one Divine Source, eternal and present throughout creation. We believe that within each person and every living being is a sacred essence that is part of this Divine nature, and that our lives offer us opportunities to learn, grow, love, and deepen our connection with the Divine.
We recognize that humanity has sought this connection in many different ways. Our faith draws wisdom and inspiration from a variety of religious and spiritual traditions, including Judeo-Christian traditions, Buddhism, Taoism, Hindu traditions, Santo Daime, Umbandaime, and others. We do not believe that any single tradition holds the only path to the Divine. Each person must ultimately discover and walk the path that speaks truthfully to their own heart.
We believe that direct spiritual experience is an important part of religious life. Prayer, meditation, contemplation, music, community, sacred ceremony, and sacramental worship can help move us beyond intellectual belief and into a personal experience of the Divine.
Central to our religious practice is our Sacrament, which we regard as sacred and as a teacher and guide. Within ceremonial worship, the Sacrament assists us in opening ourselves to communion with the Divine, receiving spiritual teachings, and exploring aspects of ourselves and existence that may ordinarily remain beyond our awareness. For Temple of Omnia, sacramental practice is therefore not incidental to our faith, but an essential part of it.
We also believe that the value of spiritual experience is found in how we carry it into our lives. The teachings and insights received through prayer, contemplation, ceremony, and other sacred practices call us toward greater self-love, compassion, forgiveness, respect for nature and all living beings, service to others, and greater responsibility for the way we live.
We believe that we are each other's medicine. We walk our individual paths, but we do not walk them alone. Our differences are worthy of respect, our individual journeys are our own, and at the same time we remain connected as expressions of the same Divine Source.
The Meaning of Omnia
Omnia is a Latin word meaning “all things” or “everything.”
We chose this name because it reflects a central understanding of our faith: that the Divine is present throughout creation and that, beneath our many differences, all life is interconnected as expressions of the same Source.
Omnia also speaks to our respect for the many paths by which people have sought connection with the Divine. Different traditions may call the Divine by different names and approach the sacred in different ways, yet each may offer wisdom and a path toward greater understanding.
Our Faith Tree, at the center of our work, is composed of symbols from multiple religious and spiritual practices and traditions.
The Faith Tree represents our belief that there are many paths toward communion with the Divine. Different traditions may use different names, symbols, prayers, practices, and teachings, yet each may offer a way of approaching the same sacred mystery.
Our own path includes sacramental practice as a means of deepening that connection, opening ourselves to spiritual guidance, and bringing what we receive back into our everyday lives.
